A light and creamy body, notes of sweet citrus and aromas of spice distinguish this smooth grade 1 fair trade coffee bean from Peru.
Peru, on the western coast of South America, is well known for its biodiversity and varied climates from great plains to the high Andes mountain range. The Gonzilla estate is situated in the mountains at between 1,100 and 1,800 metres above sea level. The cool climate at this altitude means that the coffee fruit matures much more slowly, allowing the flavours to develop inside the bean. This results in a more complex and smooth cup of coffee with very little acidity, making it perfect for all brewing methods. Expect fruity overtones and spicy aromas with a creamy body.
Peru G1 Gonzilla Estate G1 Organic is a speciality-grade Arabica green coffee from Peru’s Andes Mountain Range. It is a Grade 1 lot made from Typica and is certified Organic and Fairtrade.
SHB stands for Strictly Hard Bean. It is commonly used to indicate coffee grown at higher elevations, where slower cherry development can help improve bean density and cup structure.
It is grown at approximately 1,100 to 1,800 metres above sea level.
This lot is made from the Typica variety.
It is wet processed (washed-style processing), which typically supports a clean finish and clearer flavour definition.
Expect a creamy body with fruity overtones, mild acidity, spicy aromas, and a long, clean finish.
A medium roast usually preserves the creamy texture and fruit notes while keeping the finish clean. A medium-dark roast can bring out more spice and deepen sweetness.
It works well across most brew methods, including espresso, filter, and immersion brews, thanks to its balanced body and gentle acidity.
Yes. The creamy body and clean finish can translate well to espresso, especially if you prefer a smooth, structured cup.
Grade 1 typically indicates a higher quality selection with stricter sorting and fewer defects, which supports more consistent roasting and cup quality.
The minimum commercial order quantity is 50 kg.
