I am positive you will have seen quite enough posts about the current global situation to last a lifetime, however we want to try and keep everyone up to date about our day to day business and services we offer our valued customers.
In light of the uncertainty we are all facing daily (possibly hourly now) with the outbreak of COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we wanted to write to you to keep you informed of the steps we’ve taken to ensure we are prepared for all scenarios and to inform you of the measures we are taking to ensure that we are well placed to continue to serve you over this unpredictable period.
The team at Small Batch Roasting Supplies are focused on continuing to supply Green Coffee Beans up and down the country, and overseas. Please rest assured, we're very much open for Business as usual and are sorting and packing your orders presently. We are very much hoping to continue this supply uninterupted. We are also happy to discuss any other coffee related support you or your business may need at this time, whether it is packaging, back up roasting or something completely different - here if we can help!
At the time of writing (19th March) it remains business as usual for us at Small Batch Roasting. We recognise that the coronavirus outbreak is a rapidly developing situation and we are mindful that this situation may change. We are monitoring these changes and are recieving regular updates to stay informed of the live situation.
Should restrictions come into place that may impact the service we provide, from our key suppliers, the Government or internal issues, we will inform you of this if/when it happens.
We have restricted the access to the warehouse to Staff Only at this time. Deliveries may still be collected, however these will be brought to you by a member of our team. If you have any symptoms, however slight please may we ask that you do not collect and instead request your order is delivered.
We have increased our already frequent hand washing, undertaken extra warehouse & office cleaning, requested no hand shaking and reduced the visitors to the warehouse to only those essential to operating our business. We have maximised the use we make of technology. Video conferencing enables us to continue successfully running the business whilst minimising the number of visitors to the warehouse. We are working hard to ensure we provide the best possible care to you during this period and continue to effectively serve you. We will continue to monitor the situation as update as required.
To date we have seen limited negative affect on supply of coffee into the docks and warehouses, although with the risk of extra staff shortages next week due to school closures, we will need to ask customers to be as flexible as possible when it comes to urgency of delivery, as it may take a little longer to dispatch over the next couple of weeks.
